My name is Blake Hunter, founder of Good Seed Land. I am from Treaty Six territory in Saskatchewan and a proud member of the Métis Nation. In 2006, I began cultivating organic industrial hemp on my family’s land near Kwakostowin Lake, Saskatchewan. It was there that my passion for medicinal herbs and hardy vegetables took root, deepening my connection to the land.
In 2015, my family and I relocated our cultivation to Vancouver Island, where we continue to create herbal remedies and preserve heirloom seeds. Through this work, I hope to help others form a joyful connection with the land and awaken their own inner, ancestral gardener.
